Spade_ is a dance-pop artist with a three-piece suit, a pair of aviators and a sense of humor about all of it. His debut album, Silicon Party, pairs chrome-plated synths with sing-back hooks built for packed rooms. He is not a DJ, whatever the album cover says.

Long bio

Spade got his name as a nickname long before he released a note. When it came time to put music out, iTunes already had plenty of artists called Spade, so he became Spade_, underscore and all.

His debut album, Silicon Party, is big-room dance-pop: four-on-the-floor drums, glossy synths and choruses designed to be shouted back. The cover art, a lightning-struck house party with Spade at the decks, went out reading “DJ Spade.” He isn't a DJ. He kept the cover anyway, because it's a great cover.

Spade_ performs in a full three-piece suit, because a party is an occasion. Silicon Party is out now on all major platforms.
